So many members of my family voted for Trump in 2016.

I have no idea if they ever voted for him again because they’ve been dead to me ever since.

Elections change lives. Full stop. There are tens of thousands of local blue officials across America. THEY MATTER.

The actions of 7 blue senators represent the actions of 7 blue senators. 🧵

I’m as pissed off about the Senate Dems caving as anyone, but let’s keep it real: tearing down the leadership, boycotting elections, quitting the party, having a Dem civil war - these are things the Dems always do right before they lose.

Stay focused on the real enemy.

The only way this is anything other than complete capitulation by Jeffries and Schumer is if they both have ironclad assurances of sufficient GOP support for ACA. Color me skeptical.

No, he didn’t fall for it - he wants all his brainless minions to fall for it.
The reason why Trump continues to fall for QAnon and satire posts and puts them out as fact is because he has dementia and has no idea what his own Admin is doing from day-to-day. That, and he’s a habitual liar. meidasnews.com/news/wow-tru...

And so far, he’s winning.

I think there’s room for more than one *real* villain here. Lots more.
The SCOTUS administrative stay is a terrible thing for 42 million Americans who are uncertain if they'll have food in November.

But make sure to blame the *real* villain: Convicted Felon Donald Trump. It was his decision to appeal in the first place.

Trump could just fully fund the SNAP benefits.

So no real flights for us normal people? What?! Are supposed to just not travel anymore? WTAF?!

The substance of what Trump says isn’t news. But the fact that he says it as though it was news is news.
The media tends to regurgitate Trump’s words as if they were news.

They aren’t news. They’re postures. His words and thoughts add nothing to our understanding of anything. Yet the media reproduces them as if they did.

Memo to the media: Give us the news.
What's the "news" under Trump?

Listen, I know this was a big waste of taxpayer dollars, but think of the entertainment value. I’ll bet the sandwich guy himself would agree.

The West Wing was one of my favorite shows, and I haven’t been able to watch it for a very long time.

I think today is a good day to try again.

It’s also signaling that he’s a narcissistic child in the process of shitting his pants.
A president who explains losses by saying the system only works when he’s on the ballot is signaling a shift away from democratic legitimacy and toward personal rule.
Trump to Republican senators: "I thought we'd have a discussion after the press leaves about what last night represented and what we should do about it and also about the shutdown and how that relates to last night. If you read the pollsters, the shutdown was a big factor, negative for Republicans."

Quick recap:

Paving over the lawn so he doesn’t trip.

Making the bathroom an enclosed shower for easy poop cleanups.

Labeling his office so he can find it.

The White House has turned into a nursing home.

We have got to stop saying that the billionaires and the big corporations, banks, universities, etc - bent the knee.

No one did anything that they didn’t want to do.

They didn’t bend to Trump, they created Trump. And when they saw what they created, they continued to support him, not us.

I haven’t seen a single GOP win yet tonight - have you?

Tomorrow’s gonna be a better day, for the first one in quite a while.

Call me cynic but I’d prefer to hear it from the folks down river.
Trump has no idea what’s going on. He’s turned the WH into a gilded Assisted Living Facility with court jesters and a ballroom.

And now I‘m seeing people talking about blue states withholding their federal tax funds. This isn’t possible!

Residents and companies pay fed taxes directly to the IRS - the state government never touches this money.

I don’t like peeing in anyone’s cheerios, but we have to stay rational.
I keep seeing people here demand that we invoke the 25th Amendment, and it’s embarrassing. Only the VP can do this, and it would require the support of a majority of the cabinet and 2/3s of both houses of Congress to stick. Can anyone seriously imagine any of that happening?

I feel absolutely no guilt wishing early death for a person that’s already responsible for so many deaths and ruined lives. And he’s just getting warmed up - if this goes on much longer, his global body count could rival that of Stalin or Pol Pot.
