Great to be here 👋🏽

Let’s start with some good news. A new report shows free school meals in London's state primaries are having a positive impact:

➡️ Improving children’s health and wellbeing
➡️ Supporting families, esp. those struggling with the cost of living

If you bring central London to a halt in order to campaign against catastrophic climate change then you're a "barmy" eco "fanatic" who deserves to be locked up.

If you do the same to hang on to your multimillion pound inheritance tax exemption then you're a brave freedom fighter defying the odds

Which.... is the case for all other property owners as well. The gap between the coverage of this proposal and its reality can be seen from space.
memo to farmers protesting today, if you’re desperate to hand your farm to your offspring then give it to them while you’re still alive, panic over, so long as you live another 7 years there’s no inheritance tax

Popped over to the other place for my regular "come over to Bluesky" post.

First notification on my feed was this. Incredible, the extent to which I had become used to this abuse and came to see it as somehow normal.

Inevitably, all this will fail. People who voted for it will learn the hard way - and just like Brexit, they'll continue to blame everyone else

Totally this. The failure to plan for this is not the issue now. The issue now is to get on with it.
We Europeans (including the UK) have no time to be depressed, to be angry, or to be scared. Too much time has been wasted over the past two years. No more burying one’s head in the sand, no more hoping for the best. Time to step up. For our security, for Ukraine, for our future.
