John flags the right points here about the other place. The argument that you shouldn’t cede ground doesn’t really hold when the ground everyone remembers has been completely eradicated by the platform’s algorithm and product priorities.
There are moral and ideological cases for leaving X, of course, but you don't even need them: the old platform is just *gone* and has been for a long time nymag.com/intelligence...
