Federal agents are violating a court order that prohibits them from racially profiling Latinos and other Southern California residents as the directive winds it way through an appeals process, immigrant advocates and local officials say.
Why a court order barring ICE from targeting people based on their race isn't being enforced
The order issued by a federal judge in Los Angeles is on appeal by the Trump administration, making its viability murky.

Making a decision to move the US space Command without doing an assessment of the cost, risks to national security, impacts to workers and their families is impulsive, dangerous, and irresponsible.
Trump’s decision to move U.S. Space Command to Alabama is deeply disappointing. It undermines national security, wastes taxpayer dollars, and disrupts military families. Colorado Springs remains the best home for Space Command and the men and women who serve there.

Today marks the third anniversary of the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

What's happened since?

A record number of women have been prosecuted. Pregnancy loss is now considered extremely suspicious, even when it has nothing to do with abortion.
Criminalizing pregnancy: A record number of women were prosecuted the year after Dobbs
They were targeted for substance use, miscarriages, and stillbirths, largely driven by fetal personhood laws.

Today, a court struck down the President's tariffs that raised the cost for Americans on everyday goods. Colorado helped lead a lawsuit against this tariff tax. I have been outspoken about the negative impacts these tariffs have on the American people and applaud the court for their decision today.

That is the choice before us in the House this week.

Via "One First," me on why Stephen Miller's riff on suspending habeas corpus is not just factually and legally wrong (in multiple respects), but reflects a dangerous escalation in the Trump administration's rhetorical attacks on the courts:

148. Suspending Habeas Corpus
In response to adverse rulings in numerous immigration cases, Stephen Miller is raising the specter of suspending habeas. His argument is factually and legally nuts, but it's worth explaining *why.*

We are not under invasion.

There is no justification for suspending our constitutional rights.

Every single American should speak out against this, loudly and forcefully.
Stephen Miller: "The writ of habeas corpus can be suspended in a time of invasion. So I would say that's an option we're actively looking at."
