The hero of the Hannukah massacre has been identified as Ahmed Al-Ahmed, a 43-year-old fruit shop owner. He disarmed one of the gunmen. He is Muslim.
May he be an inspiration to the world.

Trump was gleeful that the National Guardsman were attacked, he’s been trying to place them in harms way for months for his cheap theatrics. For him it was opportune that military personnel would come under fire as a growing number of US veterans are becoming vocal against him.

I think the President of the US responding to a question about the murder of a journalist with "A lot of people didn't like that gentleman" is probably pretty bad.

Jesus Christ. This is monstrous. Absolutely sickening. The journalists in that room should walk out en masse.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

This has been Trump's superpower since 2016, and the secret to his success:
♦️He doesn't hide his crimes: He boasts of them.
♦️His case: Everybody does these things-- I'm the only one being honest about it.

Effective, but false:
♦️Many are corrupt, many are abusers. But he's in a league all his own.
"The message is not that Trump is innocent, it's that *everyone is guilty.* Everyone assaults women, cheats on their taxes, uses public office for private gain. Propriety and following the rules? That stuff is for suckers. In a world of grift and graft, the most corrupt man should be king."
Why Trump can't make the Epstein scandal go away
His ordinary scandal management techniques are not working.

This seems like the most straightforward and also basically accurate message.
instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."

The pardons are primarily symbolic: No one on the list has been charged with federal crimes, and Trump can't pardon those facing state charges in GA, AZ, NV and WI.

But it's another effort by Trump to recast the history of his bid to seize a second term in 2020. www.politico.com/news/2025/11...

And she became a Senator so she could betray her party, her region and progressive values in DC just as she did in Concord.
