Instead, we increased the margins in the district landing at 59% of the vote. My district is a sliver of blue arrows in a sea of red. I didn’t run to the center. I didn’t change my views because Democrats never get rewarded for compromising with Republicans. 2/

Parents say - break it and find out. We are about to find out. If you look at presidents both Dem and Rep since Reagan. Republicans broke the economy and Democrats fixed it. Over and over. The question is-- will Republicans go too far and Dems can not fix it. And I believe we are about to find out.

Polio has been detected in wastewater in NY for some time - so it’s out there and probably elsewhere too. For those of us on the older side who were vaccinated against polio decades ago, the CDC recommends a booster. Check with your healthcare provider to see if you should get one.

2024 presidential has never happened in our modern history. Democrats ran a special election and republicans ran a regular race. Specials and regular races are totally different. But usually both parties are running one or the other. This time it was asymmetrical. Important to include in assessment
