I reread the Culture books almost annually, they don't get old. Banks was a literary giant and we are all much poorer for his loss.

I reread the Culture books almost annually, they don't get old. Banks was a literary giant and we are all much poorer for his loss.
Banks would be rolling in his grave if he knew how much of a "fan" Musk pretended to be of his work.
I'd say that if he was still alive I'd love to read his book where the villain is a clear allegory for Billionaire Bad, but he already wrote that book, it's called Surface Detail, and it's amazing.
