These are what we have, but not a suggestion of the white you expect of Silver birch. They’re about 4 years old now. Lots didn’t make it, the estate was supposed to have more of them

This kind of shite needs to stop with Chinese made products. They just need to write: Brushed brass toilet roll holder, screw fixing, anti-corrosive. How much more could anyone really want to know? Separate dimensions maybe.

For most of the last 11 months I have wondered why the developers left this row of trees here when they built our estate 4 years ago. Presumed a tree preservation order. This. This must be why they’re here. So beautiful. They really do brighten my mornings! The most beautiful autumnal display.

What a beautiful way to start the day. Spectacular autumn colours, an acoustic version of Shake It Off, and the most beautiful boy next to me ❤️ Definitely had the gratitude hit today. Photo doesn’t go close to doing it justice!

I’ve been & had a look this evening. Just that bit left to do. I’m going to have to bite the bullet and do it soon. If I’m quick I can probably get a few coats on in 2-3 hours if it dries back ok.

As a person who 92.7% of the time has naked feet (who needs shoes?!) I’m going to find this a challenge today. I’m remembering a time when this kind of attire was my norm. It’s profound the difference WFH has made to my life!

Breakfast is served. Protein yogurt- homemade seed blend, homemade nut blend, blueberries, grapes, pomelo, pocket cucumber and a banana. Obvs cheeky slice of fruit cake too.

I’m probably unduly grumpy here, but here goes. I can’t wait until Halloween is done. The decorations are tacky and bad. What fluff on hedges has to do with it, idk. A hazard to the birds who feed on the berries in those bushes and a mess meanwhile (bah humbug)

Happy Saturday. The baby is lovesick. It’s exhausting and nothing is really stopping the noise. Got an appointment in 45 mins, so just another half hour more to endure before I can instigate a house swap for us. God knows how long for.

Contemplating what the rest of the day has in store for me. Acutely aware of the fence work in progress. But also: weather. Need a bit of get up and go, but it got up and went after builder drama, family health issues and work chaos. Feel like I need a tropical beach day. lol.

Yes, with some of the world’s finest gaslighting as well! I was so happy with the work it has been twice remediated and the guy has said “I can’t keep coming back, this is the best I can do”
