NEW: i spoke to nine (!) scientists across several disciplines whose work was cited in the new Department of Energy report that downplays the severity of climate change. all of them say their work was misrepresented, cherry picked, and/or lacked context —

(🚨) Maybe the most important report I have ever written. Please understand that this is a long and harrowing read—it is not aimed at instant enjoyment, but a genuine and substantive (terrifying) education. What I can promise you is that if you read it you are not going to be disappointed. Seriously.

Today marks 16 years since the federal minimum wage was last raised.

Guess how much the wage would be today if it kept up with worker productivity over the years?

I think it’s worth noting this piece generated the most unsubscribes I’ve seen in a while, and the newsletter version had the lowest open rate in many months. These horrors persist in part because too many people go to great pains to avoid them.

Some interesting good news in healing an environment contaminated with ash using Bamboo. Swatches of land in a few areas had excess ash removed, some soil treatments before Bamboo was planted, and it seems to be working well for farms to continue with their crops.

Peaceful protesters were attacked and arrested in Cincinnati for standing up for an asylum seeker who faces death if deported.

Police ignored actual threats and targeted people with signs and cameras. Some of them journalists.

This is what repression looks like.

This is a wantonly sadistic act. And sadism NEVER exists in isolation – it's always accompanied by either sociopathy or psychopathy (ASPD). Dwell on this.
The Biden administration spent $800,000 on high energy biscuits that were to be distributed to children through USAID.

Now, they are set to expire, and the Trump administration is spending $130,000 to burn them instead of distributing them.

Waste, fraud, and abuse
