One of the unacknowledged advantages of this awful era is that it's revealing for all to see the putrid connections between great wealth and great power.

The intentions of the oligarchs are fully exposed and more blatant than ever.

But remember: We outnumber the oligarchs.

The president is sending the military to control American cities and if you're a reporter who's framing that illegal power grab as "pushing the boundaries of constitutionality" or "acting boldly to fight crime" or whatever, please go find another line of work where you won't get us all killed.

Truly great and in-depth article about #healthcare in america. Very informative and it explains why we are here today - the only high income nation without #universalhealthcare.

Such a #shame it will prob never change because #capitalism & #moneyinpolitics. It is a disgrace.

Throughout his second term, President Trump has visited his golf courses 38 times. Just one high-end golf weekend can cost American taxpayers around $3.4 million.
How much is Trump's leisure costing taxpayers?
Since returning to the White House on January 20, President Donald Trump has spent a significant amount of time on the golf course, and American taxpayers are feeling the pinch.

The Military.com article about trump's #FtBragg troop visit.

This is the bigger part of that article, imo. It is so #sickening. With #Army leadership condoning 💩 like this, can they be trusted to take a stand when #trump decides he wants a 3rd term, martial law, etc? 😒

Amid all the other news, it's easy to become inured to the basic facts here. Öztürk:

-Is not accused of committing any crime

-Is nonviolent

-Was in this country legally

-Merely engaged in speech that the administration objects to

-Has been locked up for six weeks
Now from Öztürk’s ACLU lawyer Esha Bhandari:

“Rümeysa Öztürk’s case is unprecedented and shocking. She has been held behind bars for six weeks while her health deteriorates for writing an op-ed.”

Commerce secretary Howard Lutnick suggested this week that only "fraudsters" would complain about missing a monthly Social Security check, and that most people wouldn't mind if the government simply skipped a payment.
Seniors won't complain if they miss a Social Security check, Lutnick says
More than 70 million Americans get a Social Security benefit every month, and for many, those checks are their only income.

Then he realized they were skilled workers doing critical work for public safety.

So he tried to hire them back.

Just a thought - maybe learn how the federal govt works before firing your best employees.
