The U.S. just pulled $250M from refugee aid to fund deportation flights. ICE/CBP spend $29B/year. Full mass deportation plan? $315B.
They’re not using tax money — they’re eyeing your Social Security.
This isn’t policy. It’s extraction.

Happy Earth Day! 55 years ago, the late Wisconsin Senator Nelson founded Earth Day to bring all of us together for one mission: to protect our great outdoors. Today, we carry on his legacy by working to pass on a better earth for future generations.

Last night was the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere's midnight ride to warn the Minutemen of approaching British troops.

I want to take a moment to share an excerpt from the Declaration of Independence's grievances against King George III.

Remind you of anyone?

The student paper at the college at which I teach reports a "tsunami of takedown requests" from international students terrified of being targeted for innocuous, legitimate op-eds & opinions.. Many ask in person--leave no trace in writing. Reminds me of my father's account of studying in the USSR.

Hey, do you know what you call a guy who never admits a mistake, who becomes President of the United States by never admitting a mistake, who then convinces his entire presidential administration to never admit—let alone correct—any mistake, leading to innocents getting life sentences?

A sociopath.

Republicans voted today to add over $5 trillion to debt to fund tax cuts for billionaires.

Here’s a scale for that: a million seconds is eleven days; a billion seconds is 31 years; a trillion seconds is nearly 320 centuries.

They are looting the country for big donors.

It seems that Trump wants a recession. Why?

A recession will drive down the prices of real estate, companies, and shares of stock.

Trump and his fellow billionaires want to buy up everything on the cheap and then enjoy the ride upward — no matter the cost to working people.

Why have Musk-backed PACs spent $10M on the Wisconsin Supreme Court race?

It's not just to uphold WI's abortion ban and gerrymandered maps.

Tesla is suing WI over a state law that hurts its bottom line — a case that could be decided by its Supreme Court.

Follow the money.

The USPS is the nation’s lifeline, ensuring delivery to every corner of the country.

We cannot allow it to be dismantled, sold off, and handed over to billionaires for profit.
