The official Democratic view on Trans Rights is that it's a losing issue that the voters they *want* to get don't care about.
Any Democrat adopting a position that Trans people need to understand they can't be supported right now means that Dem doesn't want a vote from the base...only Republicans.

As an older person from the south/southwest (slave states) I remember being taught decades ago that the Civil War and that was REALLY unnecessary, because segregation and slavery was doomed to failure and everyone knew it. So the U.S. being big ol' dicks about it to the South was the REAL agression.

Over the last few weeks I have been waging a daily battle with YouTube unsubscribing me from channels. I suddenly think of someone I haven't seen an update from in a week, and at least half the time find that I am no longer subscribed. And no, this isn't controversial content. It's like, dogtubers.

I have reached the point if I see an ad with a QR code on the screen, (like on YouTube; I'm told they do this on cable and satellite broadcasts as well) I assume it's a scam.

As a Gen-X'er, I want to apologize for a sizable chunk of us that have full-throated endorsed fascism. I suspect it derives from the alienation and abandonment issues of our youth. That doesn't excuse this behavior, of course.
