A musical artist I like took 9 years to release new music, and when they did, it was AI slop.

Since 2024, they’ve released 64 albums with 13+ tracks. 90% of the album art is AI.

I am so sad about this.

What’s with companies with offices calling themselves “remote”?

If you have offices around the world, you have distributed teams, but that’s not remote work.

Someone sent me a study yesterday and “summarized” it for me in an attempted “gotcha” moment.

The link had “utm_source=chatgpt” at the end. And the summary grossly misrepresented the actual study (guessing the chatgpt summarized it).

I passed Brandon Flowers walking out of a book store. I am a huge fan! He is my style icon!

I held my breath until he was sufficiently far away and then grabbed my partner’s arm and danced while whispering “That was Brandon Flowers!”
Right folks. Feeling rather down at the moment so bringing back an oldie

Question for the people: I’m looking to start a newsletter for a small side project. Beehiiv claims their free plan has a “custom website”, but when I try to set this up, it pushes me into the $50/month tier. What am I missing? @beehiiv.com Care to clarify?

Been saying this for awhile: We could all stand to learn what a primary source is, why it’s important, and how AI is so removed from it.

I really do think primary sources are the secret sauce.
Inbox pitch: "As a person who has done a TON of research - without AI - it drained what felt like years from my life—time, Alex. Time that could be spent on more fun stuff…"

Research IS the fun stuff, my guy. It is the sauce.

Cackling at the product recommendation possibilities in an AI-enabled IDE.

- Blue-light blockers
- certification for six months to a six-figure salary as a plumber
- world’s sketchiest biohacking supplement
OpenAI announces that it will start showing product recommendations in ChatGPT, even for logged-out users, with buy buttons that link to merchants' sites (Reece Rogers/Wired)

Well, my main thought is that it is too mid to be destroying labor and the earth for.
There are a lot of critiques of LLMs that I agree with but "they suck and aren't useful" doesn't really hold water.

I understand people not using them because of social, economic, and environmental concerns. And I also understand people using them because they can be very useful.

Thoughts?

Tested out a new running app today. The experience was so bad I’m fairly certain it was vibe coded and not QA’d.

With a $50/year price tag, Im calling it “cash-grab coded.”

🧵 THREAD: A federal whistleblower just dropped one of the most disturbing cybersecurity disclosures I’ve ever read.

He's saying DOGE came in, data went out, and Russians started attempting logins with new valid DOGE passwords

Media's coverage wasn't detailed enough so I dug into his testimony:

It’s me once again asking for some help😅 Are there any solutions/sales engineers out there who would be willing to chat with me about your experience?

She’s still giving presentations, btw!
