Ubuntu extended their LTS (paid) support to 15 years, meaning that you could support a Ubuntu version from 2014. Ubuntu 24.04 would have support til 2039.

I think at this point we have fairly well established that reefs (like all of us) will do a little bit better if they need to deal with a few less stress factors hitting them at once. This time, if we let them breath (prevent/remove oxygen stress). 🧪🌊

This is a fascinating study showing how misaligned venture capital can be when it comes to climate. Instead of chasing high-impact carbon solutions, it tends to chase fads.

We need to do a better job aligning our money with a more substantial climate impact.

It’s baby octopus season 🐙🦑

Saw this little guy last night with the Salish Sea School in Anacortes, WA as part of their free community dock walk I volunteer as an interpreter for.

We can tell it is a giant pacific octopus from the single line of chromatophores on each arm.

Ich kann daher das Argument, die Klimaschutz-Community hätte Gefahren übertrieben, in keiner Weise nachvollziehen. Dieses global aufkeimende Gefühl "jaja, jetzt muss aber auch wieder mal Schluss sein, lasst und über andere Dinge diskutieren" ist völlig irrational.
