Graphic shows Total PM 2.5 emissions in pounds in communities 20-300 Miles from the ports shows 14.7 lbs for trucks, not including 9.6 lbs in non-tailpipe emissions, and 15.4 lbs for trains in 2020. Total NOx emissions in communities 20-300 miles from the ports shows 809 lbs for trucks, 649 lbs for trains in 2020. Total CO2 emissions in communities 20-300 miles from the ports, not included in the initial CARB analysis, shows 150 MT for trucks and 35 MT for trains in 2020. Projections for 2030 and 2040 show higher PM 2.5 and NOx (but not CO2) emissions for trains, but assume perfect compliance to nullified truck regulations.
