Several MUPPETS are walking down the street debating where to eat. FOZZIE stops them all short, points up

FOZZIE: Oh wait I know these guys! They're old family friends.

Camera pans up to show THE BEAR restaurant sign. MUPPETS enter.

RITCHIE, exuberant: COUSIN!

Discovering individuals like this offer a (much needed) reminder that the internet still has folks willing to preserve popular culture... And with greater fervour than the companies looking for new ways to charge us for the same bad transfers / ports / "remasters."
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon is notorious for its poor DVD release. A year or two ago, someone sent me 4 of the home laserdiscs releases. Here's the first of four that I am uploading to the Internet Archive. archive.org/details/Teen...

I'm sure I'm not the first and no intended commentary here, but every mention of Sabrina Carpenter / "Man's Best Friend" all I can picture is Bobbi Flekman. youtu.be/rOSAumt6YF4?...

Finally saw the Lemon Twigs tonight (with support by Mod Lang), and it was great to hear power pop alive & well. Their excellent harmonies felt particularly apropos in light of Brian Wilson.

What's more humbling? Buttering bread in the nude at 12:17am for a late night snack, or having to squint as you butter because you left your glasses upstairs?

With the help of a friend, I finally finagled a way to get Baldur's Gate 3 up and running for @muppet.bsky.social on our giant TV. Walked into the other room to empty the dishwasher and minutes later I hear: "Well, talking to animals fucking rules."

Loved reading through all the replies! Two classic runs I didn't see mentioned...
NRBQ: All Hopped Up (1977), At Yankee Stadium (78), Kick Me Hard (79), and Tiddlywinks (80).
Joe Jackson: Look Sharp! (1979), I'm the Man (79), Beat Crazy (80), Jumpin' Jive (81), and [bonus!] Night and Day (82).
What four-album run is this?

For me, it’s M83’s Dead Cities (2003) — Hurry Up, We’re Dreaming (2011)

When you learn of a wonderful former colleague's great take (and account) via one of your favorite critics' repost, you're glad you created a blue sky.
Just for the record, we should have at least three Kid Detective movies by now with Adam Brody out there solving all sorts of mysteries.

Yesterday: My new primary care doctor told me how folks with ADD can and should forego prescription stimulants as they age... Having years to perfect coping mechanisms or, upon finding their professional niche, simply "outgrown" their symptoms to the point it no longer impacts daily life.

The relationship between advertising and popular culture is historically fascinating and can be blended quite well (see Mad Men), but talk about the worst of both worlds. And using one of the most beloved romcoms to boot.
