Lots of them were difficult to draw this time - including the three ex-Beatles.

I loved hearing most of them but there are two albums I don’t want to hear again…

Every year I stop myself from posting “now look here you lot, my books would make an excellent Christmas present” in October because it’s way too early, and then I forget until it’s way too late.

This week I only listened to Neil Young albums. Here are my mini drawings of them.

It was only after I’d heard about seven of them that I read it was Neil’s 80th birthday this week! Coincidence? (Yes.)

The most fun to draw was ‘Sleeps With Angels’ and the most difficult was ‘The Monsanto Years.’

Today is the anniversary of Scrooge McDuck. He first appeared in Four Color #178, which went on sale on November 14, 1947.

Description from Wikipedia: "The muscular and nude Flea is depicted using its jutting tongue to gorge on a bowl of blood. Part human, part vampire and part reptile, the beast strides from right to left between heavy and richly patterned curtains. In his left hand he holds an acorn and in his right a thorn, both items drawn from the tradition of fairy iconography. His massive neck is similar to that of a bull and holds a disproportionally small head, marked by glaring eyes and open jaws, and a venomous slithering tongue. This week I listened to these records/CDs and then drew them.

I enjoyed drawing D. Bowie’s ‘Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust’ and ‘Early On’, and Paul McCartney’s first solo LP.

I struggled with Mike Oldfield’s ‘Ommadawn’.

On 1st January, I started drawing little copies of every record or CD I listened to.

This afternoon, I drew the 1000th mini-drawing.
Sheets of paper, colour pencils and black pens on a table. A CD of Talk Talk’s Laughing Stock’ album. Lots of little drawings.
