Amazing how Klee can be so sunny and flashy, and in other paintings so subtle and indirect.

Since UN documents are being cited, let's not forget this one saying Hamas committed numerous war crimes on October 7, 2023, and the attack on Israel was actively supported by the civilian population of Gaza.

And this isn't even a start yet
An LNG-train and permanent tanks are on fire just outside capital Vilnius, Lithuania.

Next to the train as the fire started was a Russian train headed for Kaliningrad. But the cause is technogenic(?), acc to company.

Gas is an important part of Lithuania's energy mix and they have no production.

The real star of the Coen Brothers The Man Who Wasn't There (2001) is the gorgeous black and white Roger Deakins cinematography. Billy Bob Thornton gives a fittingly reserved performance for a noir where everyone goes "this guy? At the center of a noir plot? Nah he's just a barber." It's a tonally

Ilyinsky looks good in these scenes, young and fresh and daring. In his more celebrated age, he became more cliched and predictable, imho.
But with the real Doug and Mary in Russia, Igor stumbles into one of their publicity shoots, gets that kiss and, with her lipstick on his cheek, becomes a celebrity himself. He wins his girl back-- and about 1,000 more who hound him. Everyone wants a literal piece of him.

Vibrant colours create an atmosphere of chaos and dismay. "Yellow is like a trumpet playing loud", Kandinsky wrote. In the foreground -a shape of a cross, the most dramatic juxtaposition of lines. Sharp lines and the cruel black silhouette just finish it. A bolt from the blue, a missile from the sky

Fascism is savage brutality

He was deported to #Auschwitz in February 1944 and murdered in a gas chamber.

I love the colours and composition. A bit overworked on details to my taste - so the paintings look better from afar, when details get fuzzy. But overall, very good painting, isn't it? What do you say?

Great quote, I'll hang it in my office
MORAN: Even some people who voted for you are saying, 'I didn't sign up for this.' So how do you answer those concerns?

TRUMP: Well, they did sign up for it actually

I like the stoic look on Bessent's face saying "I am pissed."
Bessent on if he's concerned about empty shelves: "Not at present. We have some great retailers. I assume they preordered."

Wow! Losing a fighter to a Houthi drone or missile would be smth
"A US official said that initial reports from the scene indicated that the Truman made a hard turn to evade Houthi fire, which contributed to the fighter jet falling overboard."

You'll be held to account, Kash
Patel works for a President that the Supreme Court decided it should grant immunity to, and who routinely doles out pardons for his political supporters. There is now a whole class of people in America who assume the law is irrelevant to them, and it does not include the judge who was arrested.
