The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) turns 50 today.
I fear it could be the last year the law is intact.
It was never fully funded by any administration, nor is it a perfect solution for inclusion. But its existence has been a vital path to education access.
We must protect it.

Intersectionality isn't a ladder, it's a messy pile of cards. So much overlapping and so dependant on how the deck is tossed. It's a frame work for us to understand our proximity to privilege. We all have privilege in various situations. It doesn't stay stagnant in one locked position.

Y'all I'm really, really concerned that the disability community is treating trans people as disposable when it comes to 504 activism/advocacy. We cannot do that. Not only do trans people deserve better but we also need each other (and trans disabled people exist!)!!!
