Shrike Dantès. Last of his house and last of the Heavens' Ward. An avenger who sought to bring his own nation to heel so it may answer for centuries of injustice. Sibling of the First Brood, harbinger of end times. Unbowed, unbroken, and unmatched against the Fury herself. An inferno upon the rime.
Shrike, an elezen woman with a sharp visage. He has long, ashen gray hair and black scales along his jawline. A pair of curved horns rise from his temples. Shrike stands in a dimly lit library, vast rows of books on shelves behind him. He gazes up at the rows with a bitter expression, as if the state of the place upsets him or that he's found bitter memories within the endless volumes. Shrike's family, the minor House Marais, were entrusted by Thordan I with the task of maintaining archives of Ishgard's history as well as studying their foes in the Dravanian Hoard. Over centuries, their archives and reputation fell into ill graces. Many saw the archivists as stuck-up, manipulative, and monstrous for their proximity to dragonkind. After House Marais' fall and Shrike's battle with Ishgard, the Marais Archives have fallen into his possession. He guards over them with conviction, but they are a place of complicated feelings for him. Standing atop a snowy cliff, Shrike hoists the defeated dragoon Heustienne up by the throat in a chokehold, dangling her over the edge. The dragoon's spear is embedded in the snow off to the side. Shrike calmly grips his blade as he barks at her in rage. Shrike sits atop a bar, relaxing with his leg crossed. He leans on one hand while idly holding a lit cigarette in the other. Wisps of smoke catch the light. Sitting next to him is an Old Fashioned cocktail and an ashtray with two discarded cigarettes.
