Interesting to see this trend really kick off in the wake of the great recession.

Maybe no greater illustration of Republicans bearing the brunt of the irreparable losses thanks to Republicans' austerity clamoring and opposition to recovery measures in '10-'12.

And here's the thing, James: the people who don't love it? They're enemies of the progress you envision!

this should be read as "lazy and entitled journalists who haven't been working class for 30 seconds in their lives think dems lost the working class", which is shorthand for "the vibes tell me that the working class prefers Republicans"; it's an indictment of dem social media strategy, not policy

100%

All this "tacking to the center" stuff just eternally drenched of cucked bureaucratic scold vibes.

To the extent "the working class" moved towards Trump in any significant numbers this cycle, it was because Dem operations were roundly beaten in the meme war and couldn't control the vibespace.

Really think this came down to that one guy getting really high on his own supply* while he locked himself away during Covid.

How much of that is thanks to the Saudis greasing the skids at a personal level in the US foreign policy establishment?

Feels like it has to be a huge factor in their success

Seeing Steve Nash for the first time when we were in Grade 11 was like seeing a Martian - and he BARELY got a DI scholarship at the last minute.

I grew up playing in small-town parks & rec sports leagues with a kid who ended up in the MLB.

Know when we realized he was different? Like, 3rd grade PE.

Simply faster than every other kid. It was like getting passed by a McLaren.

This should be a PSA to every suburban parent in Texas.

If a kid has pro sports potential, you know it by 4th grade, when they're either manifestly faster and stronger and better than every other kid by a mile, or not.

No amount of private lessons and traveling team obsession changes that. Chill.

A real human tragedy to be named PostMan, have this thesis, and not live to see social media.

This kid can still get a full ride to Hillsdale and become a professional poaster/federal judge.
