A dragon character in desaturated violet, bright orange, cream, and electric mint green. The dragon has a bright green tongue, inner ears and gill-slits, spiky antlers in green, cream and orange, and a green gradient on its legs and tail; it also has, in bright orange fading to cream, starburst shapes across its back, hips, and on its legs and tail. There are diamond shapes on the tops of each paw and on its forehead. It's also speckled with small stars across the darker part of its body.

A green and pink dragon with spiky horns, gills, pointed ears and a snarling mouth. It does not have wings. It has a pattern along its chest, back, and legs like complex swirly chevrons. It also has pink paw-pads.

There's a lot of symbolism in this one. I'll try to remember to link to one of the sites I explained them on in the replies later!
An OC with long red hair and pale skin - Haven - stands surrounded by gladiolus, foxglove, snapdragon, and birdsfoot trefoil flowers. He is wearing a blue bliaut, a type of medieval European robe, over a white linen undergarment, and holding a mask made of a human skull up to his face. He is wearing a lot of ornate jewelry, which resembles medieval Arabic work. Trefoil patterns are used in the belt and cloak pins, and feature on the embroidery. All of the metal is gold. He is holding a cup in his hand, full of red wine, which he is pouring slowly into the flowers. Behind him, there is a wall - red tiled with gold trefoil patterns - and a frame. The frame shows a set of pictograms of a dog, who is made to guard a house for a man. The dog conspires with a snake, and digs a hole that the snake hides in, so when the man arrives, the snake bites the man on the heel and he dies. This is a metaphor for the character, Haven's, plot and story.

The new version of a six-panel comic titled 'metaphor', drawn digitally but with fake watercolors on a fake piece of graph paper. The comic centers on a character that I'll refer to as a deer, because it mostly is a deer. It has sharp teeth and eyes with red slit pupils and gold irises, though, and it has a coat pattern that is gold with jagged black markings on top. Its antlers vaguely resemble whitetail deer antlers. The first panel shows the deer standing relatively calmly, looking at block letters that spell out the word "run". In the next panel, the deer startles, making a stressed expression as its ears and tail go up. Text in this one, fading in from the background, repeats 'run' repeatedly; then at the bottom corner, in vivid red, is "Go!" The next panel is a close-up on the deer's eye, looking aside like it's not sure what to do. Text on this one, getting annoyed, reads: "you fucking fool." The next one shows the deer standing, still and alarmed, in a dark forest, all as black silhouettes. Text here, even more frustrated, reads: "What are you waiting for?" Finally, the deer responds. It is defensive and just as frustrated as the narration. It says: "It's a big world. I don't know where to go. I can't move forward yet. Let me think." The final panel shows the deer, still standing, still alarmed, and still still, in a view from behind. This time, we're looking through the scope of a rifle. Text here, resigned, reads: "well... you're out of time." Functionally the same comic; this is the old version. Some text is marginally different. The deer here is missing the black markings and its antlers look different (though they don't resemble much of anything). It's drawn on real paper now, and the paint has been replaced with markers, metallic pens, and highlighters. For the most part, it just looks more amateurish.

Happy #TDOV! I'm Red, a 24yo genderfluid transmasc artist (any pronouns). I draw mostly OCs, and I'm finishing a degree so I'm not available for work right now, but, hell. This year more than any, the world doesn't get to forget we exist.

1/4 - AU comic of my oc Haven, made for an art game someone's running on Discord :D Ft. some characters that aren't mine
In the first panel, a character blinks their eyes open in a POV shot, clearly waking up... under water? Their long red hair and hands float in front of them. In the second panel, we zoom out to see what's happening. The character is called Haven, and he is a tall red-haired man wearing a cropped red jacket, a green shirt and black leather pants that have cutouts on the sides, and tan high heels. He has been dropped in the water of some ocean from high up and is sinking. He thinks, still just waking up: "whuh? Huh?" In the third panel, we zoom in as he rubs his face, making no effort to start swimming. He thinks: "Why the fuck did Taran throw me into the pool? God awful way to wake up. I'll fucking kill him." In the background, faintly, we can see fish and sharks start to take notice.
