One last thing before I clock out for a couple weeks. Frankenstein 科学怪人 poster I did a few months back for CODA's Universal Monsters Gallery Show opening tonight in Los Angeles, CA and in Austin, TX. Check it out if you're in either city! Thanks as always to CODA for having me~
A black and white screen printed poster of Frankenstein (1931). The Monster carries the lifeless body of Maria, a little girl he befriends and tosses daisies into a river with her. He accidentally kills her by throwing her into the water where she drowns. Now he walks with her body in his hands through the forest at the riverside, as her body slowly disintegrates into daisies. All of the poster's text is in Traditional Chinese.

So about the last few months...
Message that reads, 'Pardon my extended absence. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take a break as I intended. Due to some unexpected life events, I found myself handling messy family issues. While the majority of the issues were resolved, there are still some loose ends I need to tend to.

 Sorry, I know that’s vague. I grew up in a 'don't air out the dirty laundry’ kind of house so, I'll save the details for a Jennette McCurdy situation in the future, if I'm feeling spicy~ But, tldr; it has been an ordeal. I’d go as far as to say it was a major life event.

 That’s why I wasn't at NYCC Artist Alley last weekend, even though I was on the artist list originally. Admittedly, I thought about trying to do it all at first but, rather than burn myself out, did the healthy thing and focused on my family. So, NYCC got the boot from my already busy schedule and staff was very gracious and efficient in terms of how it was all handled. However, I still have everything that I was planning on selling at NYCC. It'll all be available soon in my web store instead and I'll make announcements when I’m ready. But, for now I'm just going to enjoy the rest of my October if that's alright. 
 Everything has been mostly resolved now, so I’m going to try and get back to business as usual. Whatever that means in these treacherous times. But, It's been a stressful few months and I still need to recover, so my bad if I'm checked out for a bit. I truly appreciate everyone’s support during this time 🖤 Thanks! -Sachin'

My poster for the official JAWS 50th Anniversary art show~The exhibit opens tonight at Art Alliance of Monmouth County in Red Bank, NJ 🦈

Behind Brody are Mayor Vaughn and Dr. Hooper all look sad and ashamed, heads hanging low. Behind Mrs. Kitner is the funeral director reaching out for Mrs. Kitner, getting ready to take her away from the scene. Mrs. Kitner is dressing all in black. Skirt, blazer, heels, and a hat with a veil. The veil and skirt blowing in the wind. Chief Brody wears glasses, a blue Amity Police jacket, brown shoes, and khakis. His head is low and turned away from the viewer after being slapped. He is looking away from the viewer in shame. Vaughn is wearing a striped blazer with a pink shirt, brown shoes, and dark blue slacks. Hooper is wearing a beanie, glasses, denim jacket, denim pants, and converse shoes. The funeral director wears a fedora, glasses and all black suit. In the background is the tiger shark they mistook for the great white shark, strung up on a hook and rope, and were prematurely celebrating its capture. Further into the background all the townspeople look equally ashamed for the death of the Kitner boy and their now embarrassing celebration.

As a queer author, thank you for buying our gay books in response to the challenges and bans and court decisions, but I implore you to go stand up for your public libraries and schools—they’re our greatest advocates, and they’re kind of the main target of this whole effort.

Each time a remotely progressive candidate wins office in the US, the rich declare they're going to leave town. What do they actually do? Nothing. A 2016 study found only 0.04% of millionaires move in a given year due to tax increases. Rich people talk to feel important. Please properly tax them.

I'm not great at articulating or even quantifying how I feel right as I'm feeling it. It's called Alexithymia. The more emotionally overwhelmed I am the more difficult it is. And when I initially posted my Dysphoria piece here I was choked up for weeks

Despite the proclamation in 1865, the last folks to be freed from slavery was in the 1960s. In that century, we saw the mutation of peonage into sharecropping, then its further transformation under the 13th amendment. Slavery, for all intents and purposes, is still here.
