There are diamond shapes on the tops of each paw and on its forehead. It's also speckled with small stars across the darker part of its body.

There are post-it notes taped to the wall behind the desk, which also has some desk shelves which also have knicknacks in them. Behind the man, on the side of the wall past the desk, is another set of shelves- this time floor to ceiling. these are absolutely packed with stuff, mostly knicknacks again. The most immediately visible has a disaster of papers scattered on top, with some boxes and some loose; there are small jars and bins of art supplies and cups full of pens, and what can be identified as a calculator if you look closely. There are mostly boxes in the narrow-height shelf below, and below that are things too hidden to make out. In between the side of the desk and those shelves is a xylophone. There's also a space heater in there. On the ground, there's a trash bag full of junk against the side of the desk closest to the viewer. Next to the space heater, behind the chair, is more junk, this time piles of paper and stuff on the floor. The character looks at at you quizzically, smoking a cigarette. Happy #TDOV! I'm Red, a 24yo genderfluid transmasc artist (any pronouns). I draw mostly OCs, and I'm finishing a degree so I'm not available for work right now, but, hell. This year more than any, the world doesn't get to forget we exist.

A follow-up comic, this time only with three panels. The first panel shows the character, Haven, from before, now as a giant gold-and-black reptile, climbing up one of the cliffs toward a clearer, less over-grown patch of rock toward the highest reaches of the island. The sun is starting to set. He thinks: "Finally... a clear view." The second panel shows him now back in his human form, which is sunburnt now. He's sitting down, holding most of his clothes but wearing his pants (now scuffed) and a pair of socks. He's dangling his legs over the edge of the cliff and looking up toward the sky, which is getting dark. He thinks: "I know my constellations. Once it's fully dark, I'll get my bearings." The third panel is bigger than the other two and shows a wide-angle shot of the sky, a dark night with a full moon and some wispy, dark clouds crossing over it. Haven stands silhouetted against the sky, with one hand on his hip and one hand shielding his eyes from the moon as he looks up at the stars. He thinks: "A perfect night sky, but not a single star I recognize. Even in space, I know the constellations......This can't be Earth."

In the background, to the right of him and behind several plants, a four-armed long-eared anthro person sees him and looks alarmed. In the ninth panel, he looks right, starting to get more visibly agitated. The anthro person is gone now. In the tenth panel, he stands there for a moment, not saying anything. He's just looking out at the ocean, frustrated. In the final panel, we zoom out again. There are no structures at all on the island that we can see, just trees and cliffs as far as the eye can see. Haven throws his arms up in frustration, yelling very loudly: "Where the fuck am I?"

In the sixth panel, he breaks the surface of the water and sees that he's in the middle of a large body of water and not a pool. in the distance is a heavily-forested island with massive rocky cliffs. "What the hell is going on," he thinks, beginning to swim toward it. In the seventh panel, he looks at his phone, now on dry land and thoroughly drenched. It is dead. "Can't they make a waterproof phone that actually works? Come the fuck on," he says. "Fine. Whatever. I've been a lot of places. I'm sure I'll recognize something."

The comic continues. In the fourth panel, Haven stretches his hands up as he wakes up further, still making no effort to swim out of the water. Underneath him, we see snakes, sharks, and sea monsters looking up at him. He thinks, "Something is wrong, though. I have a bad feeling for some reason-" He interrupts his own train of thought by yelling: "Oh. Fuck!" in the fifth panel, starting to swim up in a panic. In the sixth panel, we see him approach the surface, continuing: "I have a fucking meeting ... with my fucking boss!" He thinks: "I think they caught me diverting funds again..."

In the first panel, a character blinks their eyes open in a POV shot, clearly waking up... under water? Their long red hair and hands float in front of them. In the second panel, we zoom out to see what's happening. The character is called Haven, and he is a tall red-haired man wearing a cropped red jacket, a green shirt and black leather pants that have cutouts on the sides, and tan high heels. He has been dropped in the water of some ocean from high up and is sinking. He thinks, still just waking up: "whuh? Huh?" In the third panel, we zoom in as he rubs his face, making no effort to start swimming. He thinks: "Why the fuck did Taran throw me into the pool? God awful way to wake up. I'll fucking kill him." In the background, faintly, we can see fish and sharks start to take notice.

There's a lot of symbolism in this one. I'll try to remember to link to one of the sites I explained them on in the replies later!
An OC with long red hair and pale skin - Haven - stands surrounded by gladiolus, foxglove, snapdragon, and birdsfoot trefoil flowers. He is wearing a blue bliaut, a type of medieval European robe, over a white linen undergarment, and holding a mask made of a human skull up to his face. He is wearing a lot of ornate jewelry, which resembles medieval Arabic work. Trefoil patterns are used in the belt and cloak pins, and feature on the embroidery. All of the metal is gold. He is holding a cup in his hand, full of red wine, which he is pouring slowly into the flowers. Behind him, there is a wall - red tiled with gold trefoil patterns - and a frame. The frame shows a set of pictograms of a dog, who is made to guard a house for a man. The dog conspires with a snake, and digs a hole that the snake hides in, so when the man arrives, the snake bites the man on the heel and he dies. This is a metaphor for the character, Haven's, plot and story.

last piece of the night - my ocs Haven and Erica having sex on a pile of corpses. They looooove to do this.
Two OCs - Haven and Erica - having enthusiastic sex. Erica is a pale, normal-sized woman with light hair. Haven is a comedically large man with long red hair. Both of them are covered in blood - Erica splattered up her thighs and down her chest, on her face and on her shoes and everywhere else besides, and Haven mostly just on his arms where it's not smearing off on him from Erica herself. They're surrounded by corpses. The sky behind them is a pleasant blue, but that's about the end of the pleasantness here; the ground is so thick with corpses it's impossible to see anything else. The bodies are piled three or four deep in places. Grisly wounds - cut-open skulls, bone-deep lacerations, sharp pieces of wood jammed through the flesh, and things of that nature - are visible on essentially every body, and those that aren't are still so covered with drying blood that they're a horror scene nonetheless. Erica and Haven are on top of the pile. Haven - who is on top - is awkwardly crouched with his feet on some corpses and his hands hand braced against others, to keep from slipping on the unstable surface. Erica, who is laying on her back, doesn't have to work so hard, but she has a fistful of Haven's hair so she can keep a hold of him if she slips, and has one hand buried in the skull of an unfortunate dead guy so she can get a good grip on anything to brace herself with. Erica's shirt is unbuttoned and her pants have vanished, and Haven - who is shirtless and wearing just one ripped white glove on his entire upper body - has his pants unbuttoned down to around his knees. They're both wearing their shoes still, though - Erica's are dark leather with some hideously bloodstained spats, and Haven's a sort of tan-colored knee high boots. Erica's face is visible, and she's visibly delighted, head thrown back and face in an uncharacteristically-expressive grin; Haven's face isn't visible at the moment but he's having fun too.

The expressions: Default expression-"All his faces tend to 'scrunch' up to the right lopsidedly." Anger. Anger II: I'm going to hurt your feelings! - "note how square and toothy the smile is". Happy-note: "this is a rare face from him" Sad-note: "tends to stare blankly into space like this" Afraid-note: "He does not like to look head-on at things that scare him, but he also doesn't like to not keep an eye on them - so he has to keep moving his hair away. This also lets him shield his head. Human back illustration: The scars are jagged half-moon shapes that cross to form the more irregular shapes. They overlap more on his human form. His colors change based on (mostly) temperature! Left view shows most black and right shows least, but he's usually somewhere in the middle. Ears face backward at rest, and cannot point fully forward. Pupils glow! Antlers can have any number of tines, but should curve forward. Black patterns are asymmetrical! The non-shared elements on this side (antlers, barbels & rainbow stripes) are expressed semi-randomly (antlers) or consciously (barbels, stripes). You can use or ignore them as you see fit! The stripes are usually one color though. Sunglasses headshot: Habitual red sunglasses wearer. They have to be red- or orange-tinted or he can't see out of them. He prefers narrow frames so he can look over them – they make it hard to see, but the point is to hide his eyes, so that doesn't really matter. Outfit shots: Skull and formless black layered fabric: He wears this one for work. Green and pink suit & figure-skater bodysuit: Will wear any outfit as long as he thinks he'll look cool in it." Between the skull and the teeth diagrams: Can cross features over from one form to the other selectively, so he can have a forked tongue sometimes and not others, or claws, etc! Teeth/mouth (left to right): Label of first diagram: Human canines vs Haven's fangs He also has shark teeth instead of pre-molars. Label of second diagram: Carnassials vs molars Haven doesn't have molars! He has carnassials instead! This shows Haven's skull when he's in his dragon form. The overall shape is a blend of canine and reptilian features - a canine snout and shape, but the jawbone is shaped like a very narrow, smaller version of a saltwater crocodile. So is the back of the skull, with structures that would not make any sense for a canine ear. The snout has holes toward the top of the skull that are not seen on mammalian skeletons but are found on reptile skulls. Inside of the skull, the shape of the cranium doesn't have a solid enclosure around the brain, so the optical sockets are connected by empty space and can be seen straight through. The skull is mostly demonstrating the layout of Haven's teeth in his dragon form beyond being an idle curiosity: it shows that his serrated fangs are significantly larger than his usual dragon teeth as well. His other teeth are shaped like shark teeth, with no incisors in this form, until toward the back his molars are carnassial once more. He has two serrated canines instead of only one on the top jaw, but the bottom jaw only has the one still. A drawing of Haven's mouth, demonstrating his weird teeth. His front four teeth - the incisors - look perfectly normal. His canines are visibly bulky and sharp, and very wide, taking up about the same amount of space as two regular teeth would. From the outside of his mouth, it would be hard to see past these. Immediately behind the canines are two sets of teeth that on a human would be pre-molars; here they are shark teeth instead, very narrow and sharp. Behind those are still-sharp but broader carnassial teeth. Functionally, this means that whatever teeth he has that aren't immediately obvious at a glance are not human teeth. He also has a forked tongue in this image, and - where the back of his throat is visible - no uvula. It's not visible in the picture, but even in his human form the inside of his throat is shaped like a fish's, albeit with the gill-slits closed unless he's under water and in his dragon form. A note underneath this diagram explains: "He also has shark teeth instead of pre-molars." A diagram showing the difference between Haven's canines vs a regular person's (labeled as such). Human canines are narrow and smooth, and sort of look like tubes of enamel with a squared-off, sharp cutting edge on both the top and bottom. Haven has something larger and more pointed, with serrated cutting edges and curved lengths. The bottom canines are substantially bulkier than the top canines. A diagram showing the difference between carnassial teeth, which Haven has, and human molars. Human molars are square club-shaped teeth with two roots. The top and the bottom molars have bumps that are aligned to interlock vertically in a crushing sort of manner, allowing them to press vertically downward on materials and exert a lot of force to chew them up almost like a hydraulic press or hammer. Carnassials, on the other hand, are specialized molars that are shaped more like a pair of scissors - each one has a sort of jagged, sharp appearance to the top, but a smooth inner and outer surface. These don't interlock but slide closely against one another. They don't crush anything, but instead are used to shear through meat. Text to the right of this section explains: "Haven doesn't have molars! He has carnassials instead!"

A dragon form reference. His body is dog-like: barrel-chest, broad shoulders, long neck and canine face. However, the legs have paws shaped more like human hands, though with the fingers bent oddly, and the tail is about twice the length of the body and oblong like a crocodilian's. He has rounded ears, which are situated 'backward' on his head, so they open away from the direction of his face. His body is gold with some soft-edged patches of a pinkish color. He's lightest toward his underbelly. There are also dusky brown flecks, like freckles. On top of those, there are jagged asymmetrical black patterns coming from his spine and decreasing toward his underside. He has many small but visible nicks and scars on his back, mostly jagged half-moons that occasionally cross. This character changes color and features slightly due to situational factors—in water he grows gills and fins, and in cold temperatures his dark spots increase. This view is the cold, underwater version. He has long fins—from his legs, they span from the back of his legs at the height of his elbow/knee joints to the wrist, and flare out at the bottoms; along his back it rises from the back of his neck just behind the head and continues in one unbroken span that wraps around the bottom of his tail and ends just before his torso—much like an eel's fins. He has gills that run down his neck from the back of his head to just above his shoulder. His paws are webbed, though they aren't on land. His coloration is 'maximally black' - meaning that his entire back, wth only a few exceptions, is black, and many of his black markings cross his belly; his legs are also almost entirely black, and the tops of his paws and fingers are entirely black. His face only has regular color showing around his mouth and throat, and the entire top is covered in a black 'mask'. He also has a lot more pink, and his body is approximately half peach by volume, though the color is mottled. This view of the dragon form shows the land variant to the last image's water variant, but also features three optional features that can be drawn on or left off at any time, whether he's on land or water. The first feature is a crown of antlers, which curves forward and has many tines, similar to the antlers of a whitetail deer. The antlers are pale white, but at the points of the tines they fade to a reddish tone. The second feature are barbels, which are fleshy whisker-shaped structures that can be seen on fish around the mouth and house taste buds. Haven's barbels have broad ends and come in sets of increasing length; the first are just barely short enough to reach toward the middle of his neck, but the second visible are long enough to sweep beyond his shoulder. The third feature are a pattern of rainbow stripes along his top-line, showing over the top of his other patterns but broken up by his scars. They aren't a solid pattern but patches of glowing flesh, shaped in the vague outline of broad scales on most of his body but also curving around his eye as half-moon shapes, similar to the black markings on his face when there's room for them to be differentiated. The lights can be any color, but they're not usually rainbow; this was just to illustrate that any color is fine. The color variant on this picture is 'minimally black', and so almost his entire body is gold. He still has frequent black stripes along his spine, but they're much narrower, and by the point approximately halfway between his back and belly there is no more black. The stripes on his legs are also like this, and his hands are entirely gold. This view is also minimally pink, so the pink patches are almost gone. His glowing stripes are visible and faintly red, and he has a "medium" amount of asymmetrical black patches. Around this are his eyes, showing the black sclera, gold iris and red pupil in detail. There are illustrations of the antlers from above, showing how they wrap around the head in a half-circle. Finally, there are views of the bottoms of his front and back paws. The front paw is shaped almost like a human hand, but with thicker fingers than a human has. The first finger joint is bent backward, the second bends forward again, and the last bends backward to almost a ninety-degree angle with the joint before it, so the first joint can lay flat to the ground even if the others are bent. However, he can still make a fist and hold objects like a human hand, and his thumb is opposable. He also has peachy-pink paw pads. The paw-pad is much longer on the outside of the paw than the side with the thumb. It's creased down the center of his paw, with the pad under his pinky and ring fingers divided from the one under his pointer and middle fingers. His claws have visible quicks. This is minimally black, so the whole paw is yellow. The paw on the right shows the back paw. It also has the same finger shape and arrangement as the front paws, but these have no thumbs; instead, he has a dewclaw. The paw-pads look more normal. This coloration is maximally black, but the bottom of the paw is still yellow and the pads are still pink. However, some claws are black now, so the quick is hidden.

This shows three full-body views of Haven's human form. From the front, he's a muscular and pretty regular-looking human man, with a square torso and wide thighs. His hair hangs at least to his butt. Some of Haven's scars are visible, this time not outlined and drawn on in less detail. They're still very dramatic. He's wearing a shirt, a pair of pants, and shoes, so the rest of his body is largely hidden, but the shirt has a low back and the pants have cutouts on the side that are laced together to show skin at the sides, which reveals that he isn't wearing any underwear. He's holding a piece of old paper up, tilting his head to look at it like he's confused, with his hair swept around over his shoulder so it's not in the way of his back. The third view shows Haven from the side, holding a writhing snake with both hands - one hand just behind the head so it can't go anywhere, and the other hand about halfway down the body stopping it from wrapping around his arm. (An annotation makes it clear that the snake is fine.) Haven is making his "I'm mad so I'm going to say something mean to hurt your feelings face at it," monologuing. He's wearing a pair of white denim shorts. This shows the scars wrapping around the side of his back and his shoulders a bit. This has a green triangular tie pin. His pants (visibly high-waisted) are a darker desaturated green. Haven is grinning, winking, and holding his fist out like he's going for a fistbump. Last, he's in a glittery purple and red bodysuit with a heart-shaped chest cutout, diamond side cutouts, and square cutouts down the arms; the sleeves end in gloved fingers middle and ring fingers but leave the pinky, pointer, and thumb exposed. His face is relatively round, but with high, defined cheekbones, and his cheeks, nose, and lips are very rosy. His lips are pretty full. His nose is relatively low and wide, but has a defined hump and an upward turn at the bottom. He has monolid eyes. His eyebrows are raised and his eyes are a little squinted, wrinkling at the outsides. Under happy is the last expression - afraid. This one is looking at the viewer from a side angle, brushing his hair out of his face, with very wide eyes and a mostly slack rest of his expression. Because he's yawning, his tongue is curled up, and it's slit down the center but bulky like a mammal's tongue rather than more flattened like a reptile's. The last one shows him startled, with his ears pricked all the way up. At this angle, they're open to the sides, and pale yellow on the insides. His barbels are canted forwards and his eyes are very wide.
