If you repeat the same behaviour for close to a decade?

That’s not a pattern. That’s a career path. That’s who you have decided you are.

This is also why I keep saying people don't understand what is happening. It's not stitched together in a way to create a compelling narrative in the media. And Dems are dropping the ball by not creating their own talking points and hammering them over and over again.
The more coverage a story gets, the more important readers think it is.

So it matters when the NYT inflates flimsy Dem ‘scandals’ while downplaying real, criminal ones from Trump and Republicans. It’s not just bad judgment — it shapes public perception.

I think this is important to bear in mind as you read news about GOP voters raising hell at GOP town halls. Do not assume their anger is an opening to the Democrats. More likely, they want the Republican to make them the exception to rules that they otherwise want applied to people they don't like.
I reread this piece from last week. Importantly, the man does not regret his vote for Trump. What he regrets is that the crackdown is affecting him. In his view, it should be affecting someone else. His wife's case should be the exception.

He voted for Trump. Now his wife sits in an ICE detention center.
ICE's deportation actions signal that anyone who isn't a U.S. citizen is 'at risk – period,' immigration attorney says.

"Democrats will get a bad ruling from the parliamentarian and they'll say, 'welp, what could we possibly do?' Whereas the Republicans are like, 'the parliamentarian says we can't do that so let's just get a new fucking parliamentarian.' And that's a microcosm for the broader fight."

Last night’s article in the Washington Post about D.C. police responding to a 911 call by illegally letting DOGE onto private property is unlike any news story I have ever read. Every single person should read this article and think about where our society is going.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy
