Just realised the BE bus driver killed the other day used to be my regular driver when I lived in Bettystown.
I remember once there was a problem with the mechanism for the door and he couldn’t open it from the inside.

It’s that day, lads. That one day of the year where we take some time to focus on being a male and consider how we may better ourselves, take care of ourselves and appreciate the things we have.
Yes, that one day of the year that is solely directed at us men.

Arrived for a 9am appointment this morning and joined the “check-in” queue.
Guy who must’ve had the second appointment was ahead of me in the queue and looked fucking fuming when I was called first.
That’s how appointments work, dude.

My favourite genres are

3. Is she going to take her top off? Yes, she took her top off.

2. Whole movie is a mid-point

1. Selfish Man hasn’t grown up but will grow up a bit in the next 90 minutes.
My favourite genres are

5. comedies where characters have opinions about Middlemarch

4. The Church is sending their saddest man to an unwelcoming country

3. Fightin'

2. There is a killer on the loose and he likes weird monologues

1. Someone needs to use the microfiche machine in the library

Wright hasn’t made a watchable movie since Scott Pilgrim, and that loses its way about 2/3 through.

Genuinely bums me out.
THE RUNNING MAN is actual rubbish. Any sense of contemporary satire is bouldered aside by reminders of DEATH RACE 2000, ROLLERBALL, HUNGER GAMES, BATTLE ROYALE and on and on. Sense of Wright holding himself back from characteristic whimsy. Appallingly incoherent ending. Baaaaad.

Reading The Plague Dogs and just read the chapter where Snitter tells Rowf the story of how he came to be in the research centre.
I tells ya maintaining ones composure on a crowded bus was quite the challenge.

Watched The Long Walk.
It’s apparent early on that changes to it will mean the ending is different.
Was absolutely loving it until the ending. Feck sake.

Very late to this party but we watched Megan 2.0 the other night and I know, it’s not very good, but I am still laughing about This Woman’s Work, which was hilarious.
Stellar reaction work from Allison Williams

Introduce yourself using a food you refuse to eat, a film you'll never watch again, a song you can't stand.

Mushy peas

Irreversible

Sweet Home Alabama
Introduce yourself using a food you refuse to eat, a film you'll never watch again, a song you can't stand.

Anything with tentacles.

Too many to mention so I’ll go with the most recent - that awful new Spike Lee movie.

That Clapton song about his kid falling out the window.

Blue cheese. The food equivalent of an infected wound

The Deer Hunter.

At the moment that godawful Kingfishr dirge about the woods of Glenbower.

Watching In the Mouth of Madness.
The last good movie Carpenter made and, I think, my favourite* of all his movies.

Sam Neill is just perfect in it, absolutely bananas.

Sat at checkout for 10 mins debating the price of Tori Amos tickets.
A Sunday night in Dublin, really means a hotel too.
Decided not to. 😕

I’d probably have regretted either choice.

Had put off watching 28 Years Later to watch this month and an hour or so in I wish I’d put it off for, well, 28 years or I dunno, forever?

It’s fecking wojus.

Will attempt to watch another 31+ horror movies this October.
But you know what kinda horror movie I don’t want to watch?
The kind where “the lines between reality and fantasy start to blur”.
