Life is like a box of....no not chocolates..... life is like a box in the face. Yes that makes more sense.
Ome thing ill never understand about some irish men is their glee when someone fails at something. They'll never wish em luck but they'll scoff when things dont work out.

Is it bitterness? Jealousy, cos someone has tried something they'd never dare to do?

Baffling.

I love a free afternoon in town. What to do? A nice lunch and a pint? Another trip to the cinema? Into a few book shops for a browse? A coffee and a bun and just chill?

😊

Irish film from a few years back called Extra Ordinary. A horror comedy. The last line spoken by Maeve Higgins absolutely creased me up. Walked out of the film still laughing. A one word sentence spoken with such an Irish cadence that it would be totally lost on you if you didnt live here.
Yeah but on the other hand what's the happiest you've been coming out of the cinema? Like, it might not be your favourite film but it left you elated for whatever reason? I think for me it was Metropolis (2001 anime), it was like I'd been dipped in electricity. I don't think I could replicate that.

That feeling when you hit random play and the first tune that plays is Cowboy Song by Thin Lizzy 🙌

Toni Erdmann. I haunted the twitter account of the local omniplex to get them to show it. For weeks i hassled them. They eventually threw it on the smallest screen months after its release and it was dreadful. Overrated piss. I walked out with an hour to go. Then missed the last bus home.
fun question: what’s the maddest you’ve ever been leaving a movie theater? not necessarily worst movie you’ve seen, but the one that just pissed you off the most. mine is Batman v Superman

Ireland's first Directly Elected Mayor has accused Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil councillors in Limerick of doing "all they can" to hinder the role.

John Moran claimed they want to make the position "unbearable" so that he will "walk away" from the office.

On this day every year i remember Leo Varadkar's pathetic, paper thin, see through pancake and how its a metaphor for the whole Irish government.

The cunts.

Ah man. Robert Duvall. He was so so good. Everyone knows his greatest hits but for me, the moment i always think of on hearing his name is when he tells his best friend Charlie his real and embarrassing given name before the epic shootout at the end of Open Range.

He'll be so missed.
