Why do we give up our hearts to the past and why must we grow up so fast?
Love it if we set an example and refused to play those cunts, damn the consequences.

Looks like the warning came too late for at least one person.

7 episode of Meh followed by 1 episode of Fuck Yeah does not a good season of tv make.
I have very mixed feelings.
At least we finally got a lot of Maximus though.

Watched Spy (once again) last night and everyone does great, funny work but man, Statham is gold in it.

I (first time) watched Wake in Fright last night.
I am not the same as I was before. 😟

My first memory of Catherine O’Hara in anything and still a performance that brings me joy.

Pick up the nearest book. Turn to page 42, post the second sentence.

I like to collect Penguin Classic books, largely coz I like how they look on the shelves but it’s also made me read stuff I might not have otherwise; older stuff, translated stuff.
I quite often pick them up without knowing anything about the book/author.

It was probably a mistake to drink 2 cups of coffee before a 4 hour civil service conference. 💩 💩 💩

I had to get a new phone last month and I bought a Piet Mondrian composition phone cover.

Forgot I was using it and put on my Piet Mondrian composition socks this morning.

So now I look like a crazy person.

Just watched the latest episode of Fallout.
Season 2 been patchy but just as it’s picking up it commits the absolute worst writing crime there is TWO episodes in a row.

Eavesdropping.

Don’t know how to move your plot forward?
Just have a character eavesdrop on an exposition-heavy conversation.

Really enjoyed The Rip. Way more exciting when people were talking than when people were shooting.

Spoilery…

Bit of a shame all the women were sidelined for the final 1/3.

A friend of my wife’s sent her The Cat Came Back this morning and now it’s completely stuck in my head, I’ll be singing it all day.

I had to stop trying to think of a specific answer to this as, depressingly, it was just too difficult to narrow down.

In the end I decided to think of my favourite thing by someone who has never (to my knowledge) been problematic.
So that’s Closing Time by Tom Waits.
What's your favourite thing that's been made by an absolute cunt?

Looking forward to that first upper management email trusting that we’re all rested and reinvigorated and ready for fresh challenges.

No, actually, in fact the last couple weeks only served to reinforce for me just how odious this lifestyle is.

A good New Year’s resolution for everyone to make would be to stop telling people how many emails there are in your inbox.

I’m not sure I’m brave enough to put it in the front room window.

Just watched Oppenheimer for the first time.
I’m not gonna say it was bad or anything like that but it was like watching a 3 hour montage.
Settle fucking down with the cuts, I can concentrate for more than 6 seconds

What are your favourite locations and things in general from Dublin in the late 90s?

Could be anything. A band you saw a lot, Kaffe Moka being open until 2AM, whatever you remember.

One of my sisters got engaged and her fella has the same surname as us and if she doesn’t hilariously double-barrel it when they’re married I will be so disappointed.
