Hot take: I think this fiasco should be the last nail in the coffin of expansive transit P3 arrangements here. Rather than hoping a consortium would fix Metrolinx’s culture and operations, the province needs to hire, empower, and hold accountable leaders who will do that directly.
How Metrolinx’s plan to deliver European-style train service went off the rails
GO Expansion will still transform Greater Golden Horseshoe transit — but likely won’t be as ambitious as what was planned just three years ago
