The government is thinking of ending RSV inoculation in Ireland for infants because it is, apparently, not cost effective. That's despite the fact that RSV can make babies incredibly sick, sometimes even worse than that. There's a public consultation ending tomorrow that *anyone* can participate in.

I had a dream last night that I had a pet Komodo Dragon named Agamemnon. He was dumb as rocks and sometimes bit people but he made a cute face when you gave him chin scritches so I fought everyone who wanted me to re-home him. He was worth the risk of dying from a horrible bacterial infection.

There’s this kind of holier-than-thou tendency to dismiss people’s observations of the world coming apart at the seams by referencing past evils and derisively sneering, “Where have you been?/You’re just now noticing this?” that I think is almost never constructive or helpful.
