My Draw Steel game is having a theme of a brutal world where death is around every corner.
But that is more of a result of me not knowing the monster mechanics as well as I do dnd.
i set up a random encounter that was like an adventure end boss.
in my defense, most of the characters survived.
But that is more of a result of me not knowing the monster mechanics as well as I do dnd.

This is why I dont like "dunking" on folks or making blanket statements of "f- you if you" whatever. I dont think it helps, it simply reinforces tribalism. I feel too many folks just want to be the ones holding the bat as opposed to stopping the beatings

I finally saw Fantastic Four.
Good gravy, I did not like that movie at all.
Folks were telling me it was as good or better than Superman.
And i get that i'm a superman fanboy... but, for me...

There is a certain type of fun that can be had by watching different countries movie propaganda.
By that I mean the movies made by their film industry that clearly is designed to vilify the "enemy" and glorify the "home team".
I'm so used to US propaganda that it lost some of its hilarious lustre.

So i made a comment during my home Draw steel game about a universal greeting as opposed to "common language".
when asked about what that is, i said,

none of my players understood... they called me "boomer" for being the only one alive when that movie came out.

I dont really understand the big deal about getting a replica crown from the Silla kingdom. They didnt give him a real one. It's in a museum. There is literally the same type of replica at my local collectors store.
I didnt want to spend $400 on a joke, or I would have bought it.

But the the Mongolian team is flipping cool and they do this bow and arrow thing as a team and it's awesome.
Also Thailand has this black, gay, Thai volleyball player and he is amazing! He came out in heels. *chefs kiss*

I played some 2e with a group from my jujitsu school. The DM had been playing for 50+years and his game world was older than me.
He had binders on binders of details. The game felt very old school.
I gained 50,000 xp in a moment, and another character vaporized right after.
It was a blast.

Recently I spoke to a professor/friend about how when we communicate, and he was explaining to me about how we encode our meaning in our communication and the audience decodes it. But due to differences in people, the meaning can have multiple interpretations.
