some sort of equivalence between "Last seen"/read receipt (modern messaging) and online status (older AIM, MSN, etc, and Discord)

I like the phrase "keyboard-based computer" -- reads like "carbon-based lifeform" and also lightly suggests the possibility of alternate conputers
after so many years on this earth using a keyboard-based computer i am still discovering new emoticons… i think that is beautiful U_U

"*I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine"

(it reminds me of Minecraft or Roblox or Web 1.0 or early PC BASICs, how you need to have stuff around you that is unpolished and feels achievable to copy)
last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

Question from my rare book cataloging class! What is the longest amount of time you have spent working to catalogue one rare book? (You can DM if you don't want to admit it "out loud"). We are fascinated to hear your answers.📜
