It's not using the exact same cut and cloth as the past, not text-over-sockets, but the new world that's held up here for despisememt here looks so much like all the virtues and upsides of what the author is celebrating, that the old world only quasi delivered.

leaning into this text editor/visual editor dual, i've made the code colourer detect comments like /*====*/ and turn them into sliders. I really like how plain old source code remains the 'source of truth' for all state and the editor just doodles over it.

unwrap/expect is essentially a lesson in how defaults matter a lot; it's good that you can do the dangerous thing easily with a *little* bit of ceremony to make sure you don't do it unintentionally
