Nice to have write-up on cross device reading. Readest is new-to-me open source!

Looking forward to 5 years from now, when we've harnesses LLM's to help us tack on cross-listening with audiobooks too.

Buying a house has long been a goal for me, one I could have moved on and done but have kind of just let ride forward.

But I feel more scared today. It's hard to believe America can keep meeting ever increasing market rates. It feels insane to not bet on housing. But how how how does this keep on?

I suspect this isn't just my motherboard, but always been a bit curious just how bad the Chromecast Audio sounds when it's powered via a USB port on my computer. Wicked noise!

Power it via wallwart or battery & it's fine!

Weird relationship with gaming. I'm both nowhere near committed enough to get far in most games. But also, I semi crave some unlock meta game, some persistent progress.

Pretty surprised seeing Civ7 "mementos" bring this meta to civ. Oh brave always new always unlocking world!

Idling/scrolling through video games to maybe play, and having a bitter-sweet pause seeing EVE Online in the list.

Still no game like it, but a hard universe to find a place in. Was so lucky to have such inroads to space empire before but no starting place now, no idea how to re-begin.

I don't think I have a single photo of a (sofa-) blanket-fort I've built but man oh man were there many.

Wish I'd kept a little more abreast of what Flux & ArgoCD have been up to the past year or two. The great git engine collab-rewrite was an exciting time. Not sure how things are shaking out. A pre #kubecon brain dump would rule. #gitops

I feel like Steam's more-like-this pages used to be able to tune for the specific game style of the game you are looking at.

But go look at (for ex) a cute amazing indie old-school Zelda like game such as Pale Coins & you'll get famous 60 smash hits.

Temperature touched 70°F here in DC today, glorious, all sorts of fall colors.

Radio station said cold was coming. But uhh, yeah, for like 3 days. Then back to 60's! Leaves dropping though, especially with ongoing winds.

Shout out to Andis Blade Care Plus spray. Much better than the regular spray, keeps clippers clean and lubricated, and I always felt weirded out by the dip, reusing it month after month after month.

@leaflet.pub fyi if Dark Reader extension is in "dynamic" mode, text selection gets kind of weird.

it works ok within a block but if one tries to select more than a block, selection disappears.

If anyone wants to trip down/drive down from mid-Atlantic, HMU. Surprise to me: i'm going to #kubecon!
For those flying to Atlanta for #kubecon next week, may the odds be ever in your favor

#NANOG is one of the greatest conferences, a whole wide world of internetworking. NANOG 95 videos dropping now.

Quite ambitious & lovely effort to build a "XDP2" that can target multiple systems (including XDP?), & Tom's been building an #UltraEthernet impl atop it. Talk is 50%+ UltraEthernet.

There was such a great and glorious aughts+ moment when government was really reaching for open data open process open view into its processes.

Would behoove especially the enforcement of justice to itself never besmirch justice's such governings (as they give out).
The nature of policing is to avoid accountability and responsibility. That is how it works, in the past, today, and in the future. (I’m not allowing responses because I don’t want to keep explaining. At this point if you tell me the police need to be more professional, I’ll just tap this.)

Dumb monolith vs anything / everything / the world debates continue. Grug ever more fetishized?

This feels like such a shitty one way only process, a purely lossy disbelief generating process. Deconstruction with no real hope of identifying counter stable points.

Forwarding along, yes, do this & pick for yourself what to filter! I was super surprised to see so much algorithmic moderation happening.

I absolutely want your rude as well as the rest of what ya'll bring.
Next select Settings, and then Moderation on the next screen. At the bottom of the Moderation page under "Advanced" is a section called "Bluesky Moderation Service" that looks like an info box. It in fact leads to more settings.

DJI envy continues building. Man they are just so so good at making incredibly beautiful integrated electronic / optical systems. Incredible lidar + 2x 100MP sensor package here, fantastic software.
DJI launches Zenmuse L3, a cutting-edge aerial LiDAR system with 950m range, dual 100MP cameras, and ultra-precise mapping.

It covers 100 km²/day, syncing LiDAR and RGB data for faster, detailed surveys.

A game-changer for pros.

Making CRDs Delightful was a lovely talk, peering the other way through the Kube looking glass & honing in on the usability of APIserver objects.

We have everything in inventory, win, now into making them pleasant to operate. K8s on & on.
