If you are married to someone who has ADHD and you don't, here's a phrase that might help you with your spouse: "Map it out for me."

This is what I say to my wife when she goes from one thing to a seeming non sequitur. In her mind, there is a relationship.

Just saw a farmer say, "you don't have to admit you were wrong, you have to admit you were lied to, " and idk that seems like a good framing to call people in

Emily McGowan directed me to Psalm 10...a prayer of great strength for these harrowing times. It is framed by Ps 9 and 11, a clear illustration that the Ps are not randomly arranged.

...if the foundations are destroyed,
what can the righteous do?
The Lord is righteous, he loves righteous deeds.

Once to every man and nation
Comes the moment to decide,
In the strife of truth with falsehood,
For the good or evil side;
Some great cause, God's new Messiah,
Offering each the bloom or blight,
And the choice goes by forever
Twixt that darkness and that light.

Those words, diverse and creative? Not an accident.

This isn’t about mass street protests, necessarily. Those aren’t safe now, not when they’ve got the army on their side. No pink hats, kids.

Time to level up and get smarter.

Here’s a shout out to all the authors who turn kids into readers.

After some Costco shareholders asked the company to end its DEI policies, this was their response: “Our board has considered this proposal and believes that our commitment to an enterprise rooted in respect and inclusion is appropriate and necessary."

This explains why Costco is an industry leader!

One of the challenges of drawing nearer to God is telling the full story. No one else sees the years and tears that reconciliation with the Divine takes. How can I not hope for and work for all things to know the peace and love I’ve found? To live without judgement within unending hope.

Well now it's Muppet Christmas Carol time and it's my annual tradition of gassing the shit out of this movie.
Keep an eye out in the opening montage for the muppet dumping a chamber pot full of banana peels into the street.

There is always more inside and beyond ourselves to explore and experience. Part of the journey out of the binary thinking of fundamentalism invites us into the diversity and in between spaces of being alive, of love, of faith, and of how we connect to one another.

Today is Children’s Grief Awareness Day. According to the Child Bereavement Estimation Model, 1 in 12 US children will experience the death of a parent or sibling by age 18. The number more than doubles by age 25. Hug your kids, wear blue, and support your local grief center.
