The USPS posting a NINE BILLION DOLLAR LOSS!!! sounds terrible. Certainly worse than if you said "USPS costs thirty dollars per person per year" even though that means the same thing and more accurately describes a government service

ok but he hasn’t lost his companies money, he has that money due to not paying taxes and deregulation…americans invested that money in him and he lost all of it

Today I made the final payment on one of my student loans. I thought I would be happier or more relieved, but all I can think about is the fact that another rent hike is almost certainly coming and I won’t actually see that extra $100/month.

I don’t know if anyone else notices or cares, but when I see a presentation in which the speaker uses obviously generated-AI images to illustrate their slides, it makes me immediately less confident in whatever other content they’re presenting.
