Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

Leave it to Canada to do what our so called opposition party in the US should be doing. The reaction to the ad shows how effective it is. Schumer and Jeffries will shrug and move on to their standard kitchen table nonsense.

One takeaway for Canadians watching what’s happening in the United States right now is that we need to put more pressure on governments / parties to strengthen democratic institutions and the fourth estate

You can also defend democracy by supporting the work of journalists and civil society groups

There is no moral justification for today’s extraordinary concentration of wealth.

It is distorting politics, rigging markets, and granting unprecedented power to a handful of people.

Closing our staggering wealth gap is crucial to the survival of our economy and our democracy.

First day of school in Alberta.

14yo told me all books have been removed from classrooms & her library is locked until every single title is digitalized and sent to the government to approve or ban.

I am so livid. There are a lot of kids whose access to books begins and ends at school. #ableg

I used to read books like Lord of the Rings or watch movies like Star Wars and think the villains were unbelievable. And of course, now watching the tech oligarchs (who could not spend all their money if they tried) destroy civilization for power, I’m like, guess I was wrong. People are that awful.

I don’t think Americans understand that if and when they throw off the Trump govt, other countries will not go back to normal relations. The USA will continue to be treated by the world like a dog that bit you, no matter which party is in power. Once trust is gone, it’s gone. #USpoli #cdnpoli

There is no moral equivalence between bullies and the bullied, between tyranny and democracy, or between brutality and decency. No individual can be free in a society devoid of justice. There can be no liberty where brutality reigns.

Realistic bets on what Poilievre will get in today's #BattleRiverCrowfoot by-election? I'm feeling 48-52%, which is a big climb down from the lowest CPC popular vote of 71%, and last election's almost 83% for the Conservative. Poilievre will blame the long ballot, but it's not. It's him. #cdnpoli

Does Poilievre care about Canada’s economy—or just the donors who fund him?

He told the convoy to “keep it going” while $3.9B in damages piled up.

His leadership run? Propped up by convoy donors tied to Trump-style politics.

Trump is laying the groundwork for a pardon of Ghislaine Maxwell, pretending that she's a reliable informant on Epstein and not his literal partner-in-crime, so it's probably worth recirculating the facts:

Ghislaine Maxwell convicted of federal sex trafficking charges for role in Jeffrey Epstein’s abuses
The jury weighed evidence from about 30 witnesses over 3 weeks who alleged the British socialite played a pivotal part in recruiting teenage girls for sex with Epstein.
