(The vascular structures part may also be why larger bodied people are higher risk. I haven't kept up with the research but basically bigger (and very athletic) bodies = more blood vessels = worse covid, on top of the antifat bias in healthcare that already means worse treatment & outcomes.)

Covid's uniquely dangerous to athletes because they're likely to have dense ACE2 receptor networks, which covid uses to set up shop, and highly developed and efficient vascular structures, which covid primarily affects. Plus intense training can impair the immune system without sufficient rest.

Apparently a lot of the first traders who set up in Oregon were from Boston to the point that the term for “white man” in the trade jargon and other languages is “Boston”

I've added an Eastern Phoebe to my lifelist, failed to talk an anole into vacating the patio, and the fish didn't jump at all while the Chunk passed by, which probably Means Something, but I didn't bring any chargers outside so bye!
