Did you used to make LiveJournal icons? Do you still have some of the ones that you made? I'm looking to include more icons in the second print run of my LiveJournal Iconic zine and would love to see yours!

In a city where being a hero is a full-time job and your power comes from your fans, would you deny your feelings for fame? 💫💘

Starbright Agency is an upcoming queer-friendly romantic visual novel inspired by 90's magical girl anime, city pop, and idol culture✨🏙️

"can we stop shipping unless it's canon" is so insane it's funny. what's next? can we stop breathing air. can the world stop spinning.

RIP, Bond.

It‘s probably the best after the horrendous clusterfuck that was No Time To Die. Bond is dead, and so will be the shitty spinoffs Amazon will churn out, five minutes after they go on air.

It‘s probably fanmade.

But as someone who studied ancient Greek for six years, this kind of ignorance hurts my soul.
Oh yes, Homer’s famous “Tes Thdpssssps.”

So, I gave Fourth Wing another shot because my coworkers won‘t shut up about it.

This is so bad, I only made it to 20% of the audio book. That‘s almost 5 hours of my life wasted.

Here, have a pic of my cat judging me for wasting 10€ that could have bought treats for her.

it introduces a METRIC FUCKTON of homoeroticism by believing men and women are so fundamentally different from one another that they can never truly understand one another

This is a terrible book.

Terrible, unforgiving, and absolutely magnificent. I finished it two days ago, and I'm still reeling. 6/5 stars

This thread explains how to remove DRM on ebooks on all platforms. It worked for me with macOS and an old Kindle Voyage, but apparently there’s a way even without a physical device. It’s worth a try.

Removal for Kobo works as well for me.

I need to stop preordering books.

I think I’ve rage-quit every book I preordered in the last six months. Too much hype and misleading descriptions for books that are in dire need of several rounds of editing.

What a waste of precious reading time.

I like this piece about romance's growing acceptance.

“Every year, it seems to me that people—especially women—care less and less what others think,” Koch tells me. “Maybe it was the pandemic, maybe it was the multiple global disasters. But somewhere along the way, they stopped giving a shit."

Fuck Amazon. You never actually owned a Kindle ebook, but now they’re just getting more and more shameless about scamming their customers.

I’m so glad I switched to Kobo last year.

Download your ebooks NOW, and de-DMR via Calibre.

Here's another reason for indie authors to ditch Amazon and switch to another platform like itch.io.

Amazon is supposedly getting rid of the "download & transfer via USB option" for ebooks at the end of the month.

Buy a Kobo or a Nook if you want more accessibility and control over your media.
