Achilles is aromantic, and its a pretty big part of his characterization. Mostly because he's not asexual or on the ace spectrum, but is aro. Jasmine is aroace.

a WIP of Halley's reference, this is just the sketch phase (technically) and i wanted to dial down on her skin tone/markings. I plan to dress her eventually as well, once she's finalized. I'm very happy with its direction, but finding the time to finish(or share) it has been daunting.

Yes, definitely, absolutely. I fall somewhere in the ace spectrum myself, and my characters tend to reflect that. I'm quite certain Halley is demi/bi like myself, and Jasmine is just straight up aroace. It's very possible that Tethys is romantic ace but she's also an AI matrix, so...

Being a lifeguard has certainly taught me that my characters will never be lifeguards themselves, but boy howdy they'll know how to swim because I'm not letting any one of them drown.

I dont think a single one of my characters I've ever created has ever been straight, and I don't think I ever will. I cannot fathom the cishet mind. Not saying it doesn't exist, but even my partner, who is straight, is aromantic. We do not have a traditional relationship. It makes no sense to me.

No, absolutely not. I dont think I could bring myself to have any of them cheat on anyone. I have a few characters who are quite promiscuous or do not attach easily so they jump through relationships/one night stands but they dont cheat.

It is easier to say which ones are not bi, since a lot of my OCs are used to explore my own sexuality. Halley is 100%, Achilles is (aromantic bisexual spectrum), And Magpie, though I haven't messed with Magpie much lately. All of them have had both male and female relationships in their past.

Think I'll chill on this account for a little bit actually while I art because I don't want to be bombarded by news that will invariably drain me of energy because im so empathetic that I'll do nothing but think about it for hours.

Honestly crazy to think I have been writing about my current OCs for (almost) three years in an original setting, (longer in a fandom setting) but I haven't been able to really draw them because all of my time has been spent writing (& co-writing)! Making time for their art is a priority this year.
