Thats the craziest part to me: the worst part about your thread wasn't even the story itself, it was the replies TO THE STORY saying that the women were justified in kicking him out. The responses were so unhinged that they make the story sound more plausible, not less.

This isn't to say, of course, that bsky is perfect, but it's a healthier place and easier to manage. And it doesn't have to be something to make your emotions go to extreme highs and depressing lows to feel "worth it" to stay there. And by jove people actually engage here.

Yes, a character can love someone and be aromantic. Yes, they can date someone. Achilles' partner is fairly romantic and does romantic gestures: Achilles allows it because he thinks its cute. Their relationship is still not romantic-centered just bc it looks that way from the outside.

I once had someone who asked me straight up how Achilles could be aromantic when he was in a long term relationship that was "romantic", and that he couldn't be good aro rep if that was so. And i still think about that person trying to police how my aro character acted to this day.
