I told her that we'd calculate the cash value of her candy haul, that I'd ask her to raid her piggy bank and donate 1/3 the candy cash value to a local food bank, and that I'd add on a 5X match.

What would be even more awesome: Show it.
Both Marvel and DC Studios do behind-the-scenes features to promote the shows and movies. Have a feature showcasing the original comic book art and contrast it w/ scenes & sequences from the movies/shows.
That would create MORE interest.
It'd be a win-win.

It's so frustrating when some of shows and films seem to have used the comics for storyboards. The original creative teams deserve more credit!

Just like web performance work, accessibility winds up being less expensive the earlier you implement it. Build accessibility in from the start, rather than bolting it on - make it part of the process.
