With anti-ICE protests happening across LA and nationwide, protecting yourself from surveillance has never been more critical.

Here are steps you can take to protect yourself and others before, during, and after protests. Access the full toolkit here: www.stopspying.org/protest

Co-signing this recommendation.
If, like me, you love dishy TV shows about scammers getting taken down, Apple Cider Vinegar on Netflix is really good. It takes on the snake oil crunchy influencer industrial complex, but treats people who fall for it w/ admirable compassion. Illness makes us desperate for magical thinking.

I went to a local LGBTQ performance art show recently, and one of the performers gave a speech:

Nothing we own in this life is really ours. Our homes, our jobs, clothes, stuff, even our freedom can all be taken away.

But our voices cannot.

Our voices truly belong to us. Our voices are our power.
Part 3, in which AOC explains that the calls we have been making to members of Congress this week are having an impact on Republicans and Democrats alike.

Don’t let up.

Keep making noise.

The Confederates and Nazis were often taken by surprise, made unforced errors, and followed obviously bad plans because their racist worldviews limited their imaginations. That's an important lesson for us.

when trans & queer people are 🤏 this close to being deemed “pornographic” by the government AND a bill was just introduced to ban all porn and their workers via Project 2025…

if you’re anti-porn, you’re anti-queer. I do not trust you.

There's a reason why modern civilisation relies on dedicated farms leveraging economies of scale to produce enough calories for everyone.
People saying that you need to garden, that your back yard garden will allow you to be self-sustaining and even feed other people, that you can do a full time job while having this self-sustaining garden, that you can do this gardening while disabled:

Wildly fucking unhinged. Cartoon fantasy shit.

Reminder that these remakes are happening solely because labeling a thing as "live action" that's like 90% cg animation avoids having to pay union animators, and instead can use cheap un-unionized VFX animators

Trying a thing for my ADHD where I make little washi tape squares to keep my phone/water bottle/alt mouse etc so I can keep track of them instead of sticking them in my pocket or leaving them around the house. Seems to be working so far!
