Researching this fun & fascinating 1932 Tattoo Gum set of "tell your fortune" wrappers until #19 threw me for a loop. Who told them so much about me?!? #CardSky

I don't have to see it, Charlie Brown. I lived it.
Give me a ping, Charlie Brown. One ping only, please.
No, Charlie Brown, I expect you to die!

Local card shop stop in Appleton (WI) yielded this decent lot. They appear to all be from one consigner with a deep 50-60-70s collection. #CardSky

Seattle Pilots "The First Voyage" video showing the scoreboard from April 11's debut 7-0 home shutout of Chicago. Pilots pitcher Gary Bell allowed 14 baserunners & worked through jam after jam, always getting key outs.

Summer 1980: flying as "unaccompanied minor" with Louisville Cardinals cap, Seattle Mariners jacket, Burger King meal toy, and shirt from my uncle's rural WI woodshop. I should've been a brand ambassador.

A movie so solid, they're still remaking it in 2025. One of the great "big group listening to a phone call" movies, an underrated cinematic niche.

Found this 1942 WWII-era program of Northwestern hosting Iowa's Naval Cadets, who won 20-12, a harbinger for each side. The "Seahawks" (cadets) finished 7-3 & Northwestern went 1-9, despite NFL HOFer Otto Graham starring for Northwestern in those days. #CardSky

My absolute weakness when composing sentences remains alliteration & assonance. I have noticed that my brain pronounces "alliteration & assonance" as if it includes both _a_lliter_a_tion & _a_sson_a_nce of its own.
