My lukewarm take is that if you've been running an 'immersive rp venue' and you can no longer function without a third-party plugin, you lost the plot on the very essence of a writing hobby that plays in the sandbox of imagination and this could overall help build strong foundations going forward.

This is Max. He snuck out in the middle of the night and walked 5 miles to get a breakfast burrito from a store that gave him one once. They hadn't opened yet when he got there, but Max was found the next morning thanks to his GPS collar patiently waiting outside for his well-earned snack. 14/10

The lines of 'this is a game' and 'this is not a job' are really funny coming from venue leaders attempting to make 'profit' off their events.
The community as a whole in regards to events was way more fun and light-hearted when pretendy-fun money wasn't what got you the access to fun stuff.
