UK energy bill payers to hand £2bn a year in subsidies to EDF, owned by the French govt, for building two nuclear power stations.

That will come handy in keeping energy prices down in France, improving govt finances.

Dividends won't be taxed in the UK.

All because UK govts oppose public ownership

A week of racism scandals, phantom audits, public meltdowns in Kent, and a Russia problem that just won’t die - it’s been a hell of a time for Reform UK.

Meanwhile, the government quietly admits Brexit’s to blame for the mess.

Nigel’s very bad week indeed.
Nigel and the Terrible, Horrible, No-Good, Very Bad Week
From racist MPs to phantom audits, Reform UK’s revolution is starting to look less “take back control” and more “lost the password again.”

David is absolutely correct here. Trump doesn’t understand that some people do the right things for the right reasons because he has no idea what the right thing and the right reasons are. For Trump, there is only what benefits him, and what does not.
"I don't think it can cross Donald Trump's mind that there are neutral arbiters who are objective and not politicized. But this is the weakness of authoritarian or pseudo-authoritarian regimes. They create an atmosphere in which it's not possible to be honest with the executive."

Update: I offered the amendment. Not to refuse acceptance of the Qatari jet; just to prohibit Trump from taking it with him when he leaves office - after the taxpayers spend $1 billion to retrofit it.

Failed 14-15. Every single Republican voted to allow Trump to take the jet.
The fight against corruption has to be ceaseless.

Today in the Appropriations Committee, I will offer an amendment to prohibit the Qatari jet that was gifted to Trump (which is going to cost taxpayers $1 billion) from being transferred to him personally.

Stay tuned.
