Hospitals across Canada are closing their ERs because there aren't enough doctors to run them. Millions don’t have a doctor. Millions more can’t get an appointment.
It didn’t used to be this way. Turns out it wasn’t an accident.

I just levelled up with my freezer Tetris skills. All six containers of cookies I baked today are IN the freezer! 😎
(Also, we will need to eat some before I make the rest of them, because there is ZERO space left. 😂)
(Most of the cookies will be going to friends and neighbours.)

And so the Great Cookie-ing of 2026 begins. Holiday baking has started with cranberry white chocolate cookies and ginger cookies (which, for some reason are a lot more spread out than usual -- think it's the different brand of margarine I used). Eggnog snickerdoodle batter is chilling. #CookieParty

Introverted me at the limit of my peopling quota for the week.
a cat wearing glasses is sitting on top of an open book on a table .
Alt: A cat wearing glasses is giving off "go away" vibes and looking distinctly annoyed at being interrupted while reading. It's ears are flattened back and it is sitting in front of an open book on a table. Seriously, you're not sure whether this cat is going to ignore you and go back to reading once it's done glaring at and judging you, or whether it's going to slap you silly, probably with claws extended. This cat is *done* with peopling and wishes to be left alone.

Wonder how feasible it would be for municipalities to band together in a class action lawsuit against the Ford government for this, and for the the speed camera thing. And the wasting our money on that tunnel. And the spa. And the siphoning money from health and education.

Pay attention, Canada.
You've probably heard of Bill C-12 and C-2, but there's a slate of other bills that, when assembled together transformer style, could create a freedom repression machine that rivals the one south of the border.

Was going to get the holiday baking started with several batches of cookies today, but after dealing with snow tires and all the gardening, the bread got started late and isn't even in the oven yet. Plus, I'm *tired* (and still haven't thawed out, damn it).
Guess I'll try and do cookies tomorrow.
