Because some damn fool asked, here's a thread about Baxter.

This was taken on the day I brought home Baxter and threw away all hope of an easy life.

Look at him. Absolutely irresistible.

And that's how they get you, the utter bastards

We are watching the classic fascist playbook in action: sow disinformation, encourage those who support you to prepare for conflict, reduce your potential conflict points with foreign powers, put your acolytes in power, dismantle democratic and legal systems.

Just days after Trump returned to the White House, Instagram is censoring abortion content. This is what Aid Access' account looks like right now - posts about how to get abortion medication has been blurred out.

Calling Yorkshire history departments! I have an ex-pupil in desperate need of an ITT placement from 24/2-27/6.

She is living in York and has a car.

Can anyone help? Please RT and share in MAT networks etc if possible?

Thanks so much in advance!

Over three years ago, I wrote an article in Teaching History about planning a more diverse and more coherent curriculum.

Last year, I made an abridged and slightly updated version of the article for a session with some PGCE trainees. If anyone’s interested, here it is… (1 of 3)

We don’t hear nearly enough from the refugees and asylum seekers who were a prime target of the rioting

I came to the UK as an Afghan refugee. The far-right riots remind me of the hatred I fled
As thousands of counter-protesters took to the streets last week to defend immigrants and minority communities, I felt hope seeing many stand for tolerance and acceptance

Me and dad outside the same church (his service against fascists in 1944 had been a little more hands-on...)

A sweet family side-note happened last night. My nephew and his partner attended a peaceful anti-fascist demonstration outside a refugee support centre in Liverpool. It was a converted church - one where I'd attended as a child, and where my own parents were married. The grandkids are alright. x
