Let’s make the world a bit of a better place together, shall we?

We have larger concerns heading into 2025, but I can't let go of the idea that the next season of Sesame Street could be its last. So I wrote about why the kids' TV institution is still vital after more than 50 years:
Can You Tell Me How to Get Someone to Save 'Sesame Street'?
With its Warner Bros. Discovery contract about to expire, TV critic Alan Sepinwall explains why the beloved children's series deserves to survive.

If this year taught us anything, it's that:

1) Workers keep America going, not billionaires.
2) Corporate profits don't trickle down to workers.
3) Poverty is a policy choice.
4) Health care is a human right.
5) Strikes work.

I hope we act on these lessons in the new year.

The thing I hate the most about interacting with anti-immigration folks is how much they fawn and dote on my immigrant ass just because I have a posh English voice and skin as white as printer paper. As soon as someone compliments my accent I know Im like five sentences from hearing something racist

If the thing you like about comic books is the way that different writers play with the same characters, you will probably also enjoy reading Greek plays. They’re very good! And fun! Much easier to read than Shakespeare. And then you get to have insufferable opinions on who wrote the best Electra
