Slowing down housing construction, especially near transit, is the opposite of what California needs to solve our cost crisis.

Leadership means doing the right thing for our state and our families — and as Governor I won’t hesitate to build more housing and bring down costs.

A report from the city planning department outlines strategies for pushing off many of the effects of SB 79 through 2030.

One piece of advice I have for those seeing this post from within the United States — find ways to watch credible news from other countries. Whenever I watch U.S. news channels, it’s easier for me to understand how badly U.S. politics and discourse is broken, and how uninformed U.S. residents are.

Charlie Kirk recently said: "It's worth it to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the 2nd Amendment.”

Preventable deaths including mass shooting of kids.

What’s clear is people who think this, NEVER think it’ll be them, or their family. #CharlieKirk

If only the useless Merrick Garland hadn’t been AG for four years, we could have tried to do something similar here. Instead we’re stuck with Trump and MAGA and this assault on democracy and free speech and free elections.

Wait, does this mean the drug companies will pay US citizens thousands of dollars to take their drugs?

Does math mean anything anymore in the United States?
Trump: This is somebody nobody else can do. We will get the drug prices down… 1000% 600% 500% 1500%. Numbers that are not even thought to be achievable.

Who’s gonna tell him lowering them by 100% makes them free?

Trump promised to bring down the cost of housing.

But his "big beautiful bill" slashes billions in rental assistance, extends tax breaks for predatory landlords, and restricts state governments from cracking down on AI-powered rent-gouging.

Another Trump lie.

I really do think we’re well beyond this point.

If you pretend that your differences with friends and coworkers and family are about “politics” when in fact they’re about right versus wrong and fascism versus the rule of law, you’re doing your country a grave disservice.
