Universities are vital economic engines. Republicans hellbent on killing them are going to learn fast that doing so will kill a lot of jobs.

I keep thinking about this critical insight from @atrupar.com - Republicans cannot claim a mandate for policies they disavowed and distanced themselves from during the campaign. Or at least we need to make it very hard for them to do so.
